Warner Brothers Considering Shining Prequel?
According to The Los Angeles Times movie giants Warner Brothers are considering the possibility of a prequel to ‘The Shining’.

The film would focus on events prior to what happened with Jack Torrance(Jack Nicholson) and his family at the Overlook Hotel. The Shining was the 1980 movie based on the best selling Stephen King novel and directed by Stanley Kubrick. See The Shining synopsis below.
A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future.
The studio has solicited the involvement of Hollywood writer-producer Laeta Kalogridis and her partners Bradley Fischer and James Vanderbilt to craft a new take as producers. A Warner Brothers spokeswoman cautioned that any “Shining” prequel was in a very early stage and not even formally in development.
Still even the possibility of a return to the Overlook Hotel will have fans talking.

No, no please no more mediocre remake’s, reboot’s or prequel’s.
Will no doubt ruin another classic horror movie, can’t Hollywood come up with any new ideas.
I don’t know, if done right this could be pretty good i reckon. Aslong as they don’t go making it into another Paranormal Activity style movie.
They should try get Jack Nicholson back in some role, i think that could have potential although could have the ability to ruin The Shining as a movie overlal.
